News on Woolwich Leisure Centre

WOOLWICH LEISURE CENTRE SCHEME

Hill Group has been selected by the Royal Borough Greenwich as development partner on its Woolwich Leisure Centre Scheme. Up to 500 new homes, a combination of private and affordable, are planned to be built between Vincent Road and Wilmount Street.

We’re keen to get your views on the latest proposals for the planned homes as part of the scheme. We’re holding two events on General Gordon Square:

Thursday 7th October - 3pm to 6pm

Saturday 9th October - 10am to 2pm

The council is investing in a brand-new state-of-the-art leisure centre fronting General Gordon Square in the heart of Woolwich town centre. This will offer a wide range of facilities, including a six-lane 25-metre swimming pool, waterslide and flumes, spa, gym and much more. Along with the leisure centre, there will be new homes, shops, places to eat, public spaces and the refurbishment of the Tramshed theatre and arts centre.

The development will play a major part in enhancing Woolwich town centre through its new facilities and by attracting more people to the high street and the surrounding area.
